You clicked the “Online link” on the OpenMeet event page and landed on this page instead of a game. We know. It’s not our finest user experience, and we’re sorry for the runaround.

The offical openmeet event link doesn’t match our requirements right now – we will try to make sure this is easier in the future.

For right now:

Please don’t use the “Online link” on the event page. Here’s what to do instead:

  1. Register for the event on OpenMeet. Registering is what gives you access to the event chat.
  2. Connect to Matrix (one time only). Our event chat runs on Matrix. The first time you open the Event Chatroom, you’ll see a “Connect to Matrix” button. Click it and follow the prompts. You only have to do this once, so future game nights will be smoother.
  3. Find the event link in the Event Chatroom. An organizer posts the link there before the game starts. Click it from the chat.

That’s it! Grab a snack, and we’ll see you at the virtual table.

We know this is more steps than it should be, and we’re hoping to make the process easier in the future. Thanks for bearing with us.
